So I was reading Hebrews today and boy let me tell you that is a deep book. When the arthur who I do not believe to be Paul make the statement about leaving the elemental things of faith moving on to the deeper things He sure ment it. I feel like asking if I could have some tenderizer to help soften the meat so that I can eat it. However with all that said the verse I want to share with you is this. "For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weakness, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin. 16 Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may recieve mercy and find grace to help in time of need." Hebrews 4:15-16. This passage not only gives us psychological stregnth knowing that Our Lord has suffered everyway we have and over come it. But hope is offered in the same breath that it can be overcomed with Christ. What I love is that we draw near to the throne of Grace. Later in Hebrews it mentions that we as believer will die and after that death judgment. Only for us it is not a judgment where sins will brought to account. Thats a relief to me. So this throne of grace is a throne that we can approach with confidence knowing that these sins are forgivin and that we will recieve mercy and grace to help us and not condemnation of our sin because of Christ. Be encouraged fellow believers we have a living eternal high Priest Jesus Christ.
Tim
