Pink- The Knowledge of God
Pink in the Chapter on the Knowledge of God starts out with the small sentence "God is omniscient." This is really the heart of the chapter. First off the Omniscience of God is something that I take for granted everyday in my life. Just like Sarai, laughed when she was told she would have a baby as an old woman inside her tent. I laugh at the fact that God knows and see's everything I do. One moment I can act all Holy and pious. Almost immediatly forget about the all knowing and ever present God I serve and act in a manner that is sinful. I could say displeasing but I feel that lessons the reality that it is sin. God's omniscience is also searching in other ways of our lives.
When pain or hard time comes God is able to look into me and every man's heart and see what no one else can. Able to truely understand the pain, the joy, the frustrations, and the multitude of emotions that are burried deep within a man. So when we pray that prayer to God right after we find out someone we love has died and our lips are at a loss for words. God is able and does know what we think and feel but are unable to utter. God is omniscient.
Looking now to the future we see that God's omniscience extends even to the future events of the world. God knows the future that he Will's to happen from the reaches of eternity past. We have this demonstraighted to us by the many prophecies of the Old Testament that we can see fulfilled. Further testimony of God's omniscience of the future are the O.T. prophecies concerning Christ that were fulfilled in his first coming. So the prophecies of his second coming are likewise as dependable as those of his first. God is omniscient in a way that is truely amazing and praise worthy.
